BCL REGIONAL - Ledbury - great weather & good racing- 11 May 2009
Ledbury hosted the BCL/Border regional on Sunday 10th May and the weather was perfect for good racing. The overnight campers had a bonfire and Bar BQ and folks drifted off after midnight as a few hardly souls chatting till 1.00am. For the racing the Ledbury club used both their tracks the 1/8 dirt circuit and the 1/10 grass track so both sets of drivers had the tracks appropiate to their class.
With four rounds and finals the meeting finished around 5.00pm which was much delaid due to 1/8 track timing being plagued by not picking up some transponders but this problem did not effect the 1/10 class so a problematic loop wire was the possible cause. With three rallyX heats, one truggy and the 1/10 class ran a mixed truck heat along with separate 2wd and 4wd classes.
Apart from early 1/8 timing hiccup this was an enjoyable meeting run under a bright blue sky. Points will appear on Border League section on Race Chat see FORUM and pictures upload on link BCL LEDBURY IMAGES

R3 & R4 STOKE No Pottering about - Great Meeting- 04 May 2009
The nitroXcross R3 & R4 at Stoke Nitros had 125 racers take part over this May Bank Holiday weekend 2 day meeting. This astro track at Stoke is one of the great venues in the Midlands and the club has increasingly added innovations to the site with extended rostrum, astro pathways around the circuit, completely new track edgings installed plus newly reworked perimeter fencing added since late visit. This added to a very friendly welcome from Jared and his fellow Stoke members made this another well received 2009 nitroXcross weekend of racing.
In the packed nitroXcross R3 Sunday meeting young Elliot Taylor showed the 1/8 RallyX racers the way round in winning the "A" final with 2nd Steve Concannon and 3rd Scott Francis making the top three of the "A" - "E" finalist. In Truggy class Mark Redmond took the win over Aslee Owen 2nd and Josh Powney came 3rd with Paul Hyde and Alex Dean come 1st and 2nd in the Truggy "B" final. Nitro Trucks saw a good drive for Alfie Rogerson winning over 2nd Chris Jukes and 3rd Dave Griffiths.
In nitroXcross R4 run on Monday Elliot Taylor again triumphed in RallyX with Mark Beattie 2nd and Jason Fowler come 3rd. "A" final Truggy saw Stewart Quinn storm to 1st place as Carl Dixon took 2nd place with a grumbling transmission as Ashlee Owen grabbed 3rd spot . Chris Jukes took Nitro Truck class 1st place over young Alfie Rogerson having an excellent drive to 2nd place and Dave Griffiths coming 3rd. The trophy giving concluded with U13 go to Grant Rogerson and U16 to wizard Elliot Taylor.
A great two day meeting much appreciated by drivers and thanks to Stoke Nitros for all there help. Well done all.
